April 1 & 2 I have booked the computer lab (108) for us to update our blogs. This is your chance to have me help you with it! Please- before the class, ensure that you have uploaded your photos to your baking folder on the system. This will make everything go a little faster. Check the categories (blog /website) on the right to see what needs updating. Term 3 your site will be worth 100. You have been working on this since September, by now you should be cleaning it up, I still have people with the Lorus Ipsum wording throughout.
Things to do...
Think your site is awesome already?
Remember- you are showing your growth over the year, if your site is still the same as last year, there has been no evidence of engagement. Think of the core competencies as a cup filled with knowledge. Emerging is a little something in the cup, developing- the cup is half full, proficient - the cup is full. Extending- this is when the cup is overflowing (spilling) with knowledge.

I have booked the first day back after the break in the computer labs, block 5 room 108, block 7 and 3 room 217.
Once you have logged on to your site please ensure that you have updated the following things. Term 2 your blog is worth 50 marks, and will be evaluated according to items below.
We took a brief break from making pies to watch one of the best movies of the 20 teens regarding food, social media, family, following your dreams - Chef! While watching the movie, there are a few important things for you to think about and to comment on your blog.
1. How social media can affect your life and career. 2.You will research different methods of making chocolate lava cake. 3. Chef makes 2 major meals that are vastly different for the critic, how does the chef feel about the food he has created? Final Website evaluation
The end of the year is near and time to evaluate our (your) learning. Show me what you've got. How are we marking you? Think back to September and our first day setting up your sites. Click here for what I was looking for back then. The year progressed and things evolved, we want you to reflect upon your learning journey, include photos of successes AND failures (first attempt in learning). Ms. Lewis and Mr. Kinoshita did the yeast bread unit, you made a gingerbread house and did Christmas baking, and we explored international baked goods. Your final exam was to be posted on your site. So let's reflect now. Did you do the previously mentioned criteria? Have you kept up with your site? Let's be honest -did you take this assignment seriously? Your website, blog, vlog is your notebook for the year, if you have not kept up your grade will reflect your effort. I am so very excited by the majority of the blogs I've been reading, and the grades reflect the effort. If you enable comments I will make a comment on your site, as will three of your classmates. Unfortunately some of the sites are still private or links do not work, I have also encountered sites that have not been touched since November. In the beginning, term 1 was worth 10 marks, term 2 -50 marks, the final evaluation is 100 marks. Whatever you do, please keep your site active. Have fun with it. You have put a lot of effort into these and it shows. Congratulations on a successful year.
Great news for updates, have you signed up yet? All of my classes now have access to the Mountain Connect App. Please ensure that you have subscribed.
Welcome back! If you were in baking last year or this is your first time, we are using the eportfolios again. Good news, if you already have one, you may continue working on it and improving it. Wow me! However if you are starting fresh, follow these instructions and we will get you started.
