This morning we had a virtual staff meeting. It was kinda funny because people were typing things I was thinking, someone had their microphone on, and image was sideways and there were technically difficulties. What does this mean for you? I would just like to point out we are human, and we are trying our best to make this situation work. It is hard, no one should expect it to be perfect the first time out. That said...keep in mind when reflecting on your day, your learning and what is happening, it's not going to be perfect, we will work it out.
Now, I deal with stressful situations by baking! Thank goodness I have my Smash & Tess romper on because there's no waistband. Today I wanted to attend the staff meeting as if everything was normal...went to Starbucks (had to drive a fair distance to find a drive thru) and made a little baked good (I only had one, thank goodness there's someone else here to help eat them, his waistband can take the hit).
Just gonna say it turned out AMAZING! Kevin was like...'oh ya, that's good. You should get your kids to make it.' roll, cut and bake as written in the recipe. I find if I bake it 20 minutes and let it cool, it's perfect. FYI- we are going to a lot of experimental baking with what's on hand for the next little while.
