On our path to the final exam I am teaching and giving you the option to modify recipes. Today we are taking the basic Light and Tender Scone recipe and changing the add in's. Some of the options I have are; coconut, rhubarb, strawberries, cranberries, apple, cinnamon, ginger, green onions, cheese, garlic and roasted peppers seasoning. Think about how you are going to finish the scone. Obviously you won't put sugar or cinnamon on top of cheese and garlic scones. Print out the recipe if you don't have it with you, be prepared to alter. As with the cookies, you will be handing in one sample for marking. By the way, the staff LOVES when they have to mark these yummy products. Not to cause anyone a panic attack, however there are 12 class days left until June 18th. Warning Baking final exam starts June 8 and your cookbooks / blog are also due on June 8.
